I have a desktop shortcut for a program which I have deleted from my computer by using the Remove Program feature in the Control Panel. But I cannot remove the desktop shortcut. When I right-click on the shortcut I get a small menu box appear with the option to delete. But when I select delete I get a message that says I need permission to continue.
